Mosaic Park
February 2007

Volunteers form a line to haul Brazilian pepper limbs to the chippers.

Staff with Hillsborough County cut down the pepper trees at this park along the Alafia River prior to the workday, and then fed the limbs and branches into chippers which turned the invasive trees into mulch.

The volunteers also picked up trash along the shoreline. Chan and Bill found this large truck tire along the shore.

After a hard morning’s work, the 43 volunteers enjoyed a well-deserved lunch break.

Graphic artist Mariella Smith proudly shows off the t-shirt she designed for this “Give A Day For The Bay.”
