Rivercrest Park
March 2008

International students from Hillsborough Community College were among the 50 volunteers who turned out at Rivercrest Park in Tampa to pick up trash along the shoreline of the Hillsborough River.

Jeannie and Monika are regular "Give A Day For The Bay" volunteers

Roger found lots of trash along the river. The most common items collected by the volunteers were drinking straws and disposable cigarette lighters.

Bob, Kyle and Erin spent their morning sifting through the vegetation on the shoreline for trash.

After a hard morning's work, the volunteers enjoyed grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch, followed by delicious, fresh-baked cookies donated by Bungalow Bistro.
