Camp Bayou
August 2004

All ages enjoyed the Camp Bayou workday!

Frank loading mulch for use in one of the two native plant gardens the volunteers created.

Volunteers from the TrailBlazing Sams RV club repaired and replaced signs for the Camp Bayou nature trails and parking area.

Many volunteers worked on plant and wildlife survey teams, recording and photographing Camp Bayou’s native flora and fauna. The teams documented more than 169 plant species, two mammals, three reptiles, two amphibians and 12 birds.

Wade Clark of the Ruskin Community Development Foundation made sure everybody had plenty of water to drink and hauled equipment to the various work sites.
