Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center

Weedon Island is located in Pinellas County, South of Gandy Blvd.
From Tampa International Airport:
Take Interstate 275 South across the Howard Frankland Bridge to the 4th Street exit, approximately 12 miles. Follow 4th Street to Gandy Blvd, make a left on Gandy, and turn right at San Martin Blvd to Weedon Drive NE. Turn left on Weedon Drive and go into the preserve. (San Martin Blvd is before the Gandy Bridge.)
Once in the preserve, follow the road until you see a large building on the left with a big parking lot in front of it. That is the Cultural and Natural History center where we are holding Estuary Academy. If you go too far you will hit the fishing pier and kayak launch.
From S Tampa:
Take Gandy Blvd west and then left on San Martin Blvd to Weedon Drive NE. Turn left on Weedon Drive and it will take you to the preserve. NOTE:. If you hit 4th St you have missed San Martin Blvd
Once in the preserve, follow the road until you see a large building on the left with a big parking lot in front of it. That is the Cultural and Natural History center where we are holding Estuary Academy. If you go too far you will hit the fishing pier and kayak launch.
From St Petersburg:
Take Gandy Blvd east and follow above or you can also take 83rd Ave North. This will wrap you around and you will see signs for Weedon Island. If you go too far, you will hit Gandy Blvd.
Once in the preserve, follow the road until you see a large building on the left with a big parking lot in front of it. That is the Cultural and Natural History center where we are holding Estuary Academy. If you go too far you will hit the fishing pier and kayak launch.
From Manatee/Sarasota:
Come north across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and stay on I-275 North to the SR 694 East exit. This is Gandy Boulevard. Continue straight (east) across 9th Street (MLK Blvd. ) and 4th Street. . Turn right onto San Martin Blvd. (which is not far past the greyhound dog track, Derby Lane). Go about 1.5 miles and turn left on Weedon Drive NE.
Once in the preserve, follow the road until you see a large building on the left with a big parking
lot in front of it. That is the Cultural and Natural History center where we are holding Estuary
Academy. If you go too far you will hit the fishing pier and kayak launch.
